Saving Souls Book
By Shawn Robert Johnson
In Saving Souls, Shawn Robert Johnson shares his personal journey, life lessons, and hard-earned wisdom to help young people avoid the pitfalls of gang involvement, incarceration, and destructive choices while building a brighter future.
Meet the Founder
Shawn Robert Johnson
Saving Souls Synergy was founded by Shawn Robert Johnson, an author, motivational speaker, mentor, entrepreneur, and advocate whose life represents resilience, transformation, faith, and the power of second chances.
At the age of 19, Shawn was sentenced to 60 years in prison and ultimately served 19 years at New Jersey State Prison. During his incarceration, he made a decision that his circumstances would not define his future. He dedicated himself to personal growth, education, faith, mentorship, writing, and helping others recognize that their lives still had purpose.
After nearly two decades of transformation and rehabilitation, Shawn received executive clemency when New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy commuted the remaining 41 years of his sentence. Shawn was released on December 4, 2025, with a renewed commitment to use his life experiences to inspire and empower others.
That commitment became the foundation of Saving Souls Synergy, a brand built around hope, resilience, purpose, personal development, and positive change. Through books, apparel, motivational speaking, mentorship, and other initiatives, Shawn uses his journey to remind people that their past does not have to determine their future.
Today, Shawn continues building Saving Souls Synergy with a vision of reaching people from all walks of life and encouraging them to overcome adversity, believe in themselves, strengthen their faith, and pursue the purpose God has placed on their lives.
Saving Souls Synergy is more than a brand, it is a movement built from Shawn's journey from incarceration to transformation, and his determination to turn pain into purpose.
“Saving Souls One At A Time.”
